As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and qualified Paraplanner to provide high-level technical and research support to our advisers and play a key role in the delivery of outstanding financial planning advice.
THE ROLE
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated Paraplanner who thrives in a professional, client-focused environment. You will be responsible for producing detailed, compliant, and personalised suitability reports, conducting in-depth technical research, and helping to design appropriate financial strategies for clients across pensions, investments, and protection.
You’ll be working closely with advisers and administrators to ensure the smooth progression of client cases from initial meeting through to implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing bespoke, compliant suitability reports for pensions, investments, tax planning, and protection.
- Conducting detailed product and fund research using financial planning tools and platforms.
- Supporting advisers in the development of financial plans and client strategies.
- Analysing clients’ existing arrangements and providing recommendations aligned with their goals.
- Assisting with technical queries and keeping abreast of legislative and regulatory changes.
- Collaborating with the administrative team to ensure efficient case progression and client communication.
- Ensuring all advice and documentation meet FCA compliance requirements.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for an experienced and technically strong individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality financial planning support. You will be:
- Qualified – Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (minimum), with progression towards or achievement of Level 6 (Advanced Diploma/Chartered) highly desirable.
- Experienced – Minimum of 3 years’ paraplanning experience within a Wealth Management, IFA, or Financial Planning environment.
- Detail-Oriented – Able to analyse complex information and deliver accurate, clear, and well-structured reports.
- Proactive & Analytical – Confident working independently and using initiative to solve problems and add value.
- Tech-Savvy – Proficient with financial planning software, provider platforms, and Microsoft Office.
- Client-Focused – Committed to providing an excellent standard of service to both advisers and clients.
- Team Player – Willing to contribute to the success of a close-knit, collaborative team.
Desirable Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of pensions, investment platforms, tax wrappers, trusts, and estate planning.
- Familiarity with systems such as CRM/back office systems, research tools, ideally Synaptic Pathways and Cashcalc, or similar.
- Understanding of FCA regulations, compliance requirements, and financial planning best practice.
